Built your own camper? Then you know how much work and how many personal ideas go into it. If you want to fit your Minnid system yourself too, we are here to support that choice.

Our recommendation: let Minnid or a garage fit it

Our preferred option is installation by Minnid or a garage. They fit the mounting kit, swing carrier, electrics and selected modules. At handover, you can see how everything works and try the controls yourself.

Send us or your installation partner your saved configuration. We can then agree the fitting work, costs and appointment.

No partner listed nearby? Ask us anyway.

The partner directory is not the limit of our network. If nobody is listed near you, send us your town or postcode. We will help find a garage for the installation—our aim is a workshop within around 30 minutes’ drive of your home.

A missing pin on the map does not mean you have to fit it yourself or plan a long journey.

Prefer to fit it yourself? We support that.

Many campervans are built by their owners. That enthusiasm for making things is part of the community we value at Minnid. If DIY fitting is part of your project, we can help you prepare and answer questions about the system.

Choose your vehicle and modules in the configurator. The relevant installation manuals explain the work, tools and fitting requirements. Read them before starting and contact us if anything is unclear.

It does not have to be all DIY or all garage work. You can ask a workshop to handle individual jobs, such as the electrical connection.

Plan the electrics and parking sensors

An existing electrical kit can be retained if it is suitable and compatible with LED lights. Otherwise, the appropriate kit can be added.

Rear parking sensors can be moved to the new swivel carrier. The PDC transfer package includes a carrier with sensor holes, covers for the bumper holes and a wiring loom.

After fitting

Whether you fit it yourself or use a garage, get familiar with releasing, swinging and securing the carrier, and attaching and removing the modules. The installation and operating manuals cover the final checks and everyday use. If you have questions about the Minnid system, we are here to help.

Build your configuration and tell us whether you want to fit it yourself or would like help finding a garage nearby.
